Today China announced an additional $60 billion in retaliatory tariffs sure to keep squeezing Hoosier workers and farmers — and Mike Braun is yet again failing to stand up for Indiana.
President Trump is punishing farmers, manufacturers, and small businesses in Indiana with lower profits and higher costs. Hoosier workers deserve candidates who will stand up for them against reckless policies, but Indiana Senate candidate Mike Braun is continuing to back Trump — even as jobs in his own hometown are threatened.
Last month, Braun said the administration’s agenda was“a simple process of letting it play itself out. I trust President Trump.”
That’s a gamble Hoosier families can’t afford.
“The clock has run out for Hoosiers whose livelihoods are at risk. Can Mike Braun continue to look farmers in the eye and suggest this reckless behavior should let it ‘play itself out’?” said American Bridge spokesperson Amelia Penniman.“With every passing week that Braun fails to stand up for Hoosiers, more families are reeling from the impact of this disastrous policy.”
